Clocktimizer has several icons which can be used throughout the entire tool. This guide explains each icon and what you can do with it.

THE EYE

What does it look like?
Not surprisingly, the eye icon looks like an eye.

Where can I find it in Clocktimizer?

This icon can be found in the Matters and Clients analyses.

What does it do?

You will see that the eye icon is displayed in each graph in the Matter and Client analyses. By clicking on the eye, you remove the graph from the PDF report.

Example

Our customers share matter and client reports with their clients. However, many do not want to share internal information like recovery and the blended rate. Simply click on the eye icon in the fields and those metrics are removed from the reports.

THE ENVELOPE

What does it look like?

Quelle surprise: the envelope icon looks like an envelope.

Where can I find it in Clocktimizer?

You can find it on the Dashboard, Matters, Clients, Budgets and Drilldown.

What does it do?

With the envelope you can set up recurring emails to send out PDF reports to yourself or other Clocktimizer users. After you have set up the recurring email, Clocktimizer will send out the report automatically on the recurrence you selected.

Example

Our customers share budget reports with the team on a weekly basis. Create the budget, click on the envelope and set up the budget report weekly. Clocktimizer will send out a weekly updated budget report to the recipients.

THE PIE CHART

What does it look like?

We are not full of surprises: the pie chart looks like a pie with two slices.

Where can I find it in Clocktimizer?

You can find the pie chart in the Fee Comparison, Matters and Clients.

What does it do?

The pie chart takes the current analysis into the Drilldown feature. If you are in the Matter Analysis and click on the pie chart, it takes you to the Drilldown with that matter already filtered.

Example

Clocktimizer driven pricing teams use the fee comparison to create fee quotes. When the reference matters are selected, our customers want to run some additional financial analyses on these reference matters. These types of insights can be found in the Drilldown. Click on the pie chart in the Fee Comparison and it will open the Drilldown with all the reference matters already filtered.

THE BELL

What does it look like?

The bell icon looks like a bell. However, there are a couple of varieties.

Where can I find it in Clocktimizer & what does it do?

This one can be found in the header of Clocktimizer. It shows you notifications on the budgets.

This one can be found in a budget. Click on it and you can see set budget warnings if certain thresholds are reached or out of scope work is detected.

This one can be found in a budget as well. It means you or someone else set up budget warnings for the budget you have opened.

Example

When our customers have created a budget in Clocktimizer, they set up several notifications and warnings to themselves and the partners working on the matters. This decreases write-offs and makes it easier to provide transparency for clients on the bill.

Typically, we see threshold warnings of 25, 50, 75 and 100%. Additionally, many of our customers like to receive warnings when out of scope work is detected. Clocktimizer will send these notifications automatically to all the recipients.
